JOG the Web: Back to School 2026

A new school year brings a fresh start, and at Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates (JOG), we are excited to welcome our participants and staff back to the classroom! As students across Northeast Ohio settle into new schedules and routines, our Career and Workforce Development Specialists are ready to get to work helping young people build the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Through the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) curriculum, JOG participants spend the school year developing the work readiness skills employers are looking for. In the classroom, participants learn how to write a resume, prepare for an interview, manage a budget, and communicate professionally. Just as important are the soft skills that carry over into every workplace. These are skills like time management, teamwork, problem-solving, and accountability.

Our goal for every participant is to graduate on time and leave high school prepared for what comes next. So what’s our plan? Staying on track for graduation starts on day one!

For some participants, what comes next means heading straight into the workforce. For others, it means an apprenticeship, military service, or continuing their education at a college or trade school. Whatever path a participant chooses, we want them to walk across the stage with confidence and a plan for their future.

None of this is possible without the dedication of our Career and Workforce Development Specialists. They work alongside participants every step of the way, offering guidance and support both in and out of the classroom. They build relationships, connect participants with resources, and help remove the barriers that can stand between a young person and their diploma. Their hard work cannot be overstated!

Here’s to a great school year. We’re excited to see where 2026–2027 takes our participants, and we’re proud to be part of their journey.
