Nancy’s journey to Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates began through a personal connection while she was working in Youngstown City Schools. A friend introduced her to JOG, and from the start, the organization stood out as a strong professional fit. Not only was the mission aligned with her passion for education and workforce development, but the opportunity also allowed her to work close to where she was living at the time. As Nancy learned more about JOG’s goals and impact, she realized she was ready for a change and knew this was where she wanted to be.

Although Nancy is deeply connected to the Mahoning Valley today, her roots are actually in New England. She spent time living and working across several states before eventually settling in Ohio. Through her college experience and hands-on work in local schools, Nancy developed a strong passion for education and supporting students in meaningful ways. When a life-changing opportunity brought her to the Mahoning Valley, she remained focused on building a career centered on growth and service. Reflecting on the move, Nancy shared that the transition from Massachusetts to Ohio was “a refreshing difference.”

Since joining JOG, Nancy has played an important role in the expansion of services within the Mahoning Valley. She initially supported the organization by helping assemble training logs and assisting with the implementation of new training initiatives. Over time, her role evolved to focus more heavily on employer engagement, where she now works closely with businesses to create connections that benefit both employers and JOG participants.

Nancy describes her role as being a central hub of support and information. She sees herself as a resource for both internal teams and external partners, helping to connect the dots between community resources, participant development, and employer needs. Through training plans and outreach efforts, she has helped participants build essential skills while also increasing employer awareness of the value of partnering with JOG.

Collaboration is one of Nancy’s favorite parts of her work. She credits her team for much of her personal and professional growth, noting that shared learning, open conversations, and even a few dad jokes along the way have made a lasting impact.

Looking ahead, Nancy’s goal for 2026 is clear: to increase employment outcomes for JOG participants. She is committed to helping young people overcome barriers, access opportunities, and take confident steps toward meaningful employment. Through her work, Nancy continues to support JOG’s mission of preparing participants for success in both their careers and their futures.
